Cup Product Supplies

When I started out with making cup wraps, I didn't know what I was doing. I spent a lot of time researching and making errors as anyone would with a new idea. Below are the supplies I used with their links.
For the cup wraps I made a design on Canva.com. I used a tutorial from Flash Custom Transfers that worked great for my cup designs. As a beginning I would not try and make a design that is split between the slice in the print out. The sizing she uses does not wrap around completely. I made the designs as close to the edge as possible. This helped when I received all my supplies and put everything together.
I did research on designs that would sell well in my area of North Dakota. Keep in mind these will be different if you are not from North Dakota, as every state has its own aesthetic and consumer base. I also did research on the average pricing for these items. I did a production/price analysis to determine if I would even make a profit from the designs before making them to ensure I would make the money back I would put into them, even if I needed to place them on sale or clearance.
The printing I received from Flash Custom transfers took some time, and they also verify that you are receiving the correct order. However the colors on the product I ordered were much brighter than those I received from Jiffy. I did however make a mistake ordering through Flash Custom Transfers. I originally thought that gang sheets were just bulk UV DTF cup wraps that I was making, and not t-shirt transfers. I was able to salvage the t-shirt transfers and used my iron and another tutorial to place the transfers on cotton to make cup wraps. I used a grippy material to help keep the cup wrap from slipping down the glass.
I also ordered plastic drinking glasses initially. They appeared to be thick plastic, however when I received them, they were not as thick or sturdy as I expected them to be. They worked great for the cup transfers I used however when I initially wanted to try the UV DTF cup transfers. I think they would work great for someone wanting a short term gift for an event or themed party. I sold these cups for $5 each with a 4th of July theme (The straws for these cups did not fit in the gift boxes I ordered with them and the straws needed to be cut down). The glass cups worked even better. I would opt for a different straw option though such as metal or acrylic. The glass straw may be easier to clean, but I am worried about kids using the product. I will link straw alternatives below also. The glass cups I am selling for $12 each. I was worried about buying the bamboo lids due to moldy or the inconvenience some people may find if they left it in the sink to long for dishwashing. The cup holder to apply the wraps comes in pink, baby blue, or light purple. It works well for beginning but I would like to have a larger one eventually. I'd highly recommend buying UV DTF wraps at first to practice and see if its a project you'd like to do.
When using the colored lids, I had to be wary about the designs I chose so I didn't end up with a mismatched item. This is where I ran into a problem using Jiffy for making my transfers, the colors weren't as bright and make matching the designs to the bright acrylic lids difficult. I will attached a clear acrylic lid option that would work with any design. If there are people interested in my UV DTF cup wraps specifically, I would rather complete a bulk order of the preferred design, or make an order for the UV DTF cup wraps with my business directly until a larger distribution option is in demand.
